Youth Ministry
Mission Statement.
As written by the Bishops of the United States and as published in 1997, Renewing the vision, our Youth Ministry is about "the response of the Chrisitian community to the needs of young people, and the sharing of the unique gifts of youth with the larger community" (page 6). Our Tri-Parish Cluster of Our Lady of Good Hope, St. Bernadette and St. Catherine of Alexandria offer a place where the youth come together to share their faith with one another and with the community. It is a place where the youth find meaning, feel as part of the community and where they share their individual gifts and talents with community.
Our Tri-Parish Youth program aim at:
Empowering young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world of today
Drawing young people to responsible participation into life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community
Fostering the total person and spiritual growth of each young person.
Nature of the group.
Our Tri-Parish Youth group is formed of High School students. In the youth group, those students in their Freshmen and Sophomore years receive preparation that will lead them to their confirmation in their junior year of the High School. During the course of their freshmen and sophomore years, they engage in a number of activities in the parish and the community.
