Configuring the 16-bit Microsoft Internet Explorer's TCP/IP Dialer for Global Network Access' PPP Dial-Up Service.

Step 1: Installing Microsoft Internet Explorer

1. Download and execute the DLBASE21.ZIP(1.5 meg)or DLFULL21.ZIP(3.5 meg).
2. Double-click on the SETUP.EXE that was extracted.
3. After installation you will be presented with an Install New Modem window.
4. Click on the Next button to auto-detect and install your modem.

You will be required to restart the system. After you restart, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Setting up the Connection

1. Double-click the Make New Connection icon in your new Microsoft Internet Explorer folder.
2. Type in GNA PPP for the name of the computer you want to connect to.
3. Add to the Program Manager should NOT be checked.
4. Make this the default connection SHOULD be checked.
5. Click OK to continue.

You will now be prompted for your username and password. Bear in mind that both username and password are case sensitive, and should be entered in lower case.

1. User Name - your GNA PPP username.
2. Password - your GNA PPP password.
3. Phone Number - your local Global Network Access PPP modem access pool - 290-4630.
4. Click on the Properties button.

1. Click the Domain Name tab.
2. Domain Name should be BLANK.
3. Server assigned IP address SHOULD be selected.
4. Primary DNS should be set at 207.250.91.2.
5. Leave 207.250.91.12 in the Secondary DNS configuration area.

Click "OK" and you're ready to connect.

Final Step: Connecting!

Simply click on the Connect button to log into GNA's PPP service. Upon a successfull connection, Microsoft Internet Explorer will be launched auto-"magically".
